If you're the Class In-charge of the class you need to cancel, it can be done any time before the scheduled start time. To do so, go to the lecture page and click the edit icon next to the lecture date, as shown below.

Once you do this, you will see the option to cancel or reschedule the lecture, as shown below.

If you want to host another lecture to make up for the cancelled class, you can pick a schedule for the make up lecture while you're cancelling the scheduled lecture.

Important note if you're rescheduling a lecture

If you wish to reschedule the lecture, please take note of the following two options:

  1. Create automatic announcement: Turning this ON will create an automatic announcement on your course timeline, and students will be notified over push notification and an email.
  2. Maintain activity sequence: If you turn this ON, the activities will be moved between lectures so that they appear in the same sequence as earlier.

For example, let's say you have four lectures in the course, with the following activities:

March 1: Quiz A
March 2: Poll A
March 3: No activities
March 4: Discussion A

Now, let's say you reschedule the March 2 lecture to March 5.

If Maintain activity sequence is ON, this is how the lectures are rescheduled:

March 1: Quiz A
March 3: Poll A
March 4: No activities
March 5: Discussion A

In this case, although the lectures move, the sequence of activities remains the same.

If Maintain activity sequence is OFF, this is how the lectures are rescheduled:

March 1: Quiz A
March 3: No activities
March 4: Discussion A
March 5: Poll A

In this case, the lectures move along with the activities therein.
