During a lecture or class meeting, instructors have plenty on their plate, and helping them reduce the time spent on administrative tasks is a critical aspect of the Acadly platform.
One of the ways you can do so is to use your Class Team. The Class Team comprises of the In-charge and an Assistant.

The Assistant can help the In-charge with the following tasks:
Assistants can record attendance for a class - both automatically as well as manually.
Assistants can reward class participation points to students during and after the class. You can read more about this in this Help Center article.
How Class Assistants can help the In-charge record attendance during a class meeting
While the lecture is in progress, both members of the Class Team - the In-charge as well as the Assistant - can use the auto-attendance feature in the following manner:
The Class In-charge needs to Start the class on Acadly; the Assistant cannot start a class. The Start button will be available on the Class page only during scheduled lecture hours.
Once the class has been started, either of the two Class Team members can record attendance using Acadly.
While auto-attendance is in progress, neither the In-charge nor the Assistant can publish activities. This is to make sure that students have ample time to respond to attendance-related notifications, if any.
Once auto-attendance ends, the results will be displayed to both the In-charge as well as the Assistant.

Can the In-charge and the Assistant take turns using the auto-attendance process?
Yes, both members of the Class Team can use the auto-attendance feature in the same lecture.
Can the In-charge and the Assistant record attendance manually as well?
Yes, both members of the Class Team can record attendance manually.
Can the Assistant publish activities during the class?
Can the Assistant be changed during the class hours?
No. The Assistant needs to be selected before the class is started. This cannot be changed in the middle of class hours.
